Why Moments With Mav?

Firstly, I would like to say thank you for stopping by. I would like to take this opportunity to share my heart behind Moments with Mav. I believe in the importance of why? Why does one do what they do? So, shall we start? 

Moments with Mav was birthed out of a season where I felt a lack of contentment in my life. I had everything I needed: married to an incredible man, my career was going well, I was going on holidays with my hubby, loving my family and friends, and yet I still felt a lack of contentment in my soul. 

My husband and I decided to visit the beautiful city of Santorini and the break away was a dream, yet I was unable to shake off the feelings I had within me. My husband and I picked a day to stay in our hotel to simply rest from all forms of activities. This provided me with the opportunity to open my heart to my father in heaven, to reflect on life itself and it’s meaning. I asked the question of why? Why do I feel like there is more to my life than what I am currently doing? I was writing blogs here and there but I was inconsistent and felt that that alone was not enough. 

So my father finally spoke to my heart or should I say, I finally paid enough attention to listen to Him. A summary of His Words to me: do not put a limit on your creativity.

Moments with Mav (MWM) was born in October 2018 and my initial step was the MWM YouTube channel where I share my faith in God. The next step was my friends asking me to provide tips on hair growth. I would send messages here and there but my focus was not really on hair. However, there were a number of suggestions that I ought to start a natural hair YouTube channel and so what I ended up doing was attaching the Hair channel to my faith channel. I thought I would record hair videos here and there but the interest grew. 

So on 22nd April 2020, I made the decision to separate the two in order to cater for the right audience on the right platform.

So now that you know how I got here, I pray and hope that you would stick with me on this journey. The aim is to spread love and flourish together whether it being in Jesus Christ or Natural hair.
